Marine Electronics Installation

A screen that powers on isn't the same as a system that works.
It's common to find a chartplotter, radar, and sonar unit that were each mounted correctly but never actually configured to share data: depth doesn't show up on the right screen, the VHF's DSC isn't wired to GPS, or a second station was added without updating the network it depends on. Coastal Current installs electronics as one interoperable system, from the first cable run to final calibration.

Clean installation, correct calibration, verified interoperability
Cable runs are planned before they're pulled, connections are properly terminated and protected from the marine environment, and every display, sensor, and radio is calibrated and tested together before the job is called finished, not just powered on and left for you to sort out.
Properly powered, properly grounded, properly protected
Every device gets its own fused circuit sized to its actual draw, a marine-rated connector instead of a crimped splice, and a dedicated drop off the network backbone rather than daisy-chained into whatever was closest. Deck penetrations are glanded and sealed, not just caulked over.
The display is only as good as what feeds it
A chartplotter is only as accurate as its GPS antenna placement, and sonar is only as clear as a properly mounted, correctly angled transducer. Wind, depth, and speed sensors get calibrated against real conditions, not left at factory defaults.
